Blockader

Blockader drops you into a colorful lunar arena where space rodents, cheesy creatures, and enemy hordes keep closing in from every direction. This 2D roguelite arena shooter combines automatic weapons with random upgrade cards, giving every run a slightly different path. Choose one of six characters, enter the battlefield, and keep fighting until the next wave becomes too much to handle.

Survive the Lunar Arena With Smart Builds in Blockader

1
Watch the Wave Meter: Kill enough enemies before the meter fills.
2
Mix Useful Upgrades: Stick with cards that suit your build.
3
Keep Moving: Do not stay in one place.
4
Reroll Bad Cards: Hit Space when the cards are bad.
5
Plan for Later Waves: Save stronger upgrades for the enemies that will cause more trouble later.

Blockader Game Guide: Characters, Upgrades, Waves, and Survival

There is more going on in Blockader than simply shooting enemies until the wave ends. You can choose from six characters, each giving you a different way to play, then pick from more than 100 upgrade cards as the run goes on. The cards come in four rarities, and the choices you make can quickly change how your character handles the next few waves.

Things get harder as you go. Ranged Snipers can attack from a distance, while higher danger levels put more pressure on your movement and positioning. Between runs, you can spend Stars on permanent Gear upgrades in Offense, Defense, and Utility. Every character also has a Skill Tree, so even a run that falls apart can help you make the next attempt a little stronger.

Build Around What the Wave Demands

Read the Enemy Pressure
Notice where enemies are gathering before choosing your next upgrade. Dense groups may reward effects that hit several targets, while scattered enemies can make direct damage more useful.
Shape the Right Combination
A single strong card can help, but several compatible effects can create a much more useful build. Look for upgrades that support the way your current weapons already handle enemies.
Save Strength for Later
Early waves give you room to experiment, but later waves punish weak builds much faster. Keep your future needs in mind instead of spending every upgrade choice on immediate damage.

One Run, One Build, One More Wave: The Philosophy of Blockader

What makes Blockader fun is that a run can change pretty quickly. The cards you get may take your build in a direction you were not planning at first. You might end up stacking bullet damage in one run, then switch to poison, lightning, or support effects in the next. Gear and Skill Tree upgrades also give your characters a chance to get stronger between runs.

Watch how your build holds up as the waves get harder. If your damage feels weak or enemies get too close, change your upgrades.
