Troll Thief is a funny puzzle game where every level challenges you to steal a specific item without getting caught. The first few levels look pretty straightforward. Then the game starts throwing in guards, traps, and awkward object placements that make you think a bit more before reaching for the target. Getting through later stages is less about speed and more about finding a path that actually works.
When I got stuck, it was usually because I was staring at the object I wanted to grab. The better approach is to look at everything around it. Most levels are really about finding a safe route rather than reaching the target itself.
The troll's arm can't just curve wherever you want. It needs objects to bend around. Once I figured that out, a lot of the harder levels suddenly made sense. Every table, wall, or obstacle can become part of your path.
This is something I completely ignored early on. The arm can travel off-screen and come back from another angle. A few levels that felt impossible ended up being surprisingly easy once I stopped trying to stay inside the visible area.

The biggest breakthrough for me was realizing that the shortest path is usually the worst path. Most players see the target and immediately try to draw a straight line toward it. That's exactly how you run into hazards. Instead, spend a few seconds tracing a safe route before moving. Once I started doing that, I cleared levels much faster and used hints far less often.
Troll Thief looks like a simple comedy game at first, but there's more puzzle-solving involved than you'd expect. If you enjoy figuring out weird solutions, causing a little chaos, and laughing at ridiculous fail animations, it's an easy game to lose track of time with.
