You can't expect a perfect run on your first attempt. During my time playing, the most successful runs always came after I had already explored the stage once. Take your first run slowly. Find the key. Spot hidden passages. Learn where enemies appear and where traps are waiting.
Later on, your jumping skills won't save you alone. You have to know the level. Learn the layout, and you'll zip through faster, skip dumb fights, and grab every hidden reward without losing time.
Save Your Charged Shot for Problem Enemies
Charged shots take a bit longer to fire, but honestly, they're worth it most of the time. They hit harder, break stuff in your way, and help when you're surrounded. Just don't use them on weak enemies that pop from one normal shot - that's a waste. Later on, you'll see bigger enemies and tougher barriers all the time. That's when charged shots become a must. If you time them right, you'll get through the nasty parts faster and keep more of your health for what's coming next
